Do you offer “Day-of Coordination?”
Yes, we do! Our version of “Day-of Coordination” is referred to as Wedding Management, which you can find more information on here. We call it Wedding Management for a number of reasons, but this is the lowest tier of service that we offer.
Do you require a deposit to book?
Your payment schedule will depend on the package you choose, but each package requires a 25% deposit as well as a signed contract to secure your date. Deposits can be made via EMT, cash or credit card.
Do you take kick-backs or commission from vendors?
No, we do not. As per WPIC’s code of ethics, no Elysian planner will take a finder’s fee, kickback or commission from a vendor for our referral. All vendors are referred to you based on their talent and merit.
How many weddings do you take on in a year?
In previous summers, our team has handled a maximum of 35-40 weddings, but as our team expands, as does our capacity. We currently have three Lead Coordinators who are fully capable of handling weddings on their own, but in order to be fully prepared in case of emergency, we will do no more than two weddings in a single day. This allows us to have extra staff available should a sickness or personal emergency occur.
How can I set up a consultation with you?
My venue provides me with a venue coordinator, what do you do that they don’t?
A venue coordinator works for your venue and as such, the venue is their main concern. A dedicated Coordinator works for you and your best interests come first! In addition, even with our most basic package, we are involved with your wedding from the beginning by providing you with our carefully created Wedding Planning Workbook, and we take over the rest of the planning and detail organization six weeks before your wedding so that you can enjoy the final moments of being engaged as well as your wedding day. How much experience do you have?
While Elysian launched in late 2016, we have hit the ground running and in just two seasons, have over 65 weddings and events under our belts. Kristina was one of three finalists for WPIC’s Wedding Planner of the Year for 2017, and won Fusion Charlottetown’s Entrepreneurship award in June of 2018. Our team is constantly learning and finding better ways to serve our clients better, and we take great pride in the experience we’ve cultivated.
