Welcome back! This week's vendor showcase is on Adam MacGregor & The Foes!
Tell us a little about yourselves:
Adam MacGregor & The Foes are a fun, professional four piece band consisting of Adam MacGregor, Bobby MacIsaac, Liam Kearney, and Todd McLean. Available for all live music needs, full band, solo, duo, acoustic, you name it and we can accommodate.
What inspired you to become musicians?
We all started very young, playing music in the basement and school bands. We are all passionate about music and members have been music directors, to student music teachers. Also, just to be cool, of course.
What is your favourite genre to perform?
We love playing fun, danceable music from the 50’s to current tunes. Our ever evolving list of music pulls from many genres, pop, rock, R&B, soul, you name it, we’ve played it!
How long have you been performing together as a group?
We love playing music and have been playing as a band since 2013. The band is made up of professional, award winning musicians with decades of experience that know how to entertain.
How many hours does your package include?
We play for three sets of music, usually around an hour per set with two fifteen minute breaks. If the party continues we love entertaining to a dancing crowd so we often take short breaks and play longer into the evening. Set up for weddings however can lead to a longer day as most venues also have the dinner and speeches so we are there early to set up. Some couples invite us to play background music such as jazz during the cocktail hour, dinner, or even acoustic during the ceremony so we could be there for a better part of the day.
What is your favourite part of being a part of a couple's special day?
We love to learn a few special songs for the couples first dance and for dances with their parents. Being the soundtrack to these magical moments is actually pretty amazing to witness.
Will you travel for our event?
Absolutely, we have played every pocket around PEI and the Maritimes.
What are your favourite venues to play at?
For weddings, The PEI Brewery, The Delta, Rodd Charlottetown for venues in town. The Grand Victorian, Centre Goeland, and Camp Seggie outside of town. Some of the best weddings we have played are in tents or cottage patios over looking a PEI water view.
