The Dows <3
One of the best parts of my job is the relationships I get to form with the event partners I work with, and I've been fortunate enough to work with some of those event partners on their weddings as well! Aimee is a highly regarded well known make up artist in Charlottetown who spends many of her summer weekends doing bridal make up! On August 25, it was her turn to wear the white dress!
Aimee and Adam were married at St. Peter & St. Paul's Orthodox church in Charlottetown in one of the most unique and interesting ceremonies I've ever had the of pleasure attending. Aimee walked down the aisle to a live classical harpist - if you're looking for the epitome of elegance, you won't be disappointed with a harp!
After the ceremony, we were off with Chantal Routhier Photography and Mel Guray Videography to the Lieutenant Governor's House!
Aimee's girls wore stunning low-back gold sequin dresses from Lulu's and the boys were in vibrant navy suits from Dow's Menswear.
The florals were a mix of greenery, whites and peaches by Sakurah's Flower Studio that really popped with the gold and navy! Sakurah did an amazing job of the centrepieces as well!
Aimee, being a make up artist did her own make up and she was so radiant as you can see. The love is so evident between these two! Adam and I go back to the sixth grade and I'm really happy to see the man he has grown into, because Aimee deserves the world and they have a connection that gives you goosebumps. Chantal and I kept gushing about them!
Their reception was held at the PEI Brewing Company which, if you are a regular here, you know is one of my favourite venues as I was a PEIBC bride myself. I have coordinated many weddings at the brewco and have never once had a complaint - their staff is truly top notch. Kelley, Jessica and Kyla run a tight ship but they're a ball to work with and make planning and coordinating an event a breeze.
Jenn Maxwell Design and Decor set a beautiful, warm romantic scene for the reception and she perfectly executed Aimee's vision. Jenn is always a joy to work with and has a great eye!
After the always delicious meal, DJ Hype took the stage and finished the night off with a bang. So much dancing!
At the end of the night, Chantal, Aimee, Adam and I went into the Brewery and had a fun little shoot! I had never been back there before, so cool!
Overall, it was a night to remember with an amazing crew of event partners who I can't thank enough! Be sure to take a look at Chantal's blog post for some more photos and Mel's highlight video to get a better feel for the day! Thank you so much Aimee and Adam for allowing me to be a part of your day!
