Tell us a little about your venue:
The 92 acre property is graced by magnificent grounds, fields, private woods and has panoramic views of the Southwest River. By combining rustic country charm with contemporary personal conveniences, Clinton Hills redefines the traditional country venue.
What inspired you to open a weddings and events venue?
My family recently took over management of Clinton Hills this past summer. My father came to us with the idea one night. Although this came as a surprise to my three sisters and I, it wasn't long before we were all on board and had certain roles we all play. Being engaged and getting married this year myself (hopefully!!), it's so fun and exciting to be able to go through the stages of planning and hosting a wedding each time, seeing what each couple is doing differently and wanting to incorporate into their day. Being able to work with the couples from the beginning and seeing them on their wedding day after their hard work and ideas come to light, is a huge highlight to my summers now!
What is the most unique wedding you’ve seen at your venue?
While all the weddings have their own special touches, the most unique wedding we had this past summer would be our Hurricane Dorian wedding. The couple was so laid back and just happy to be married while celebrating with their friends and family! There are so many aspects of this day that stand out to me; Getting the bridal party off their transportation and into the venue with umbrellas trying not to blow away, all the candles on the tables, power outage during the ceremony and working off a generator so the wedding could continue are a couple to name. This was definitely not your ordinary wedding and one for the books!When did you open your doors?Clinton Hills opened the doors in 2013 after substantial renovations to transform the 1956 dairy barn to an event venue.
Do you provide catering and/or bar services?
We provide both catering and bar service with lots of options for both.
What is your favourite part of being a part of a couple's special day?
My favourite part of the day would either be when the couple is walking out after the ceremony or when they do grand entrances to the dinner/reception. They are so happy and excited to be married, and can see their hard work of planning and organizing has paid off.
How many guests can you accommodate?
We can fit 250 guests in the venue but 200 seated in the loft. Do you provide any decor items or rentals?We have just started our own decor rentals. Couples have the option to use our decor service (set up, tear down and use of decor) or we can rent individual pieces, not only to our couples but others getting married on PEI too!
Do you have onsite accommodations?
We have a 4 bedroom cottage which is located behind the venue, a quick 2 minute walk. We hope to have more accommodations in the near future!
Do you have an outdoor ceremony location on-site?
